Dear AMA FCC
Members and Friends,
We hope you’ve all had a great relaxing summer. We know based
on the fall marketing campaigns that summer will soon be ending.
As we look towards fall and getting back to our routines for school
and work, we wanted to remind you that the Board Members of your
Fairfield County Chapter of the American Marketing Association have
been and are working hard for you.
We see our mission as providing high caliber, professional development
opportunities for marketing professional in the greater Fairfield
area and supporting Fairfield areas businesses with marketing needs.
To that end, your all-volunteer board is working hard to bring you
the educational and networking resources you need to secure the
future.
This year’s chapter goals include increasing membership and
member participation, as well as, bringing you timely, topical and
practical monthly programs. We’ve all heard the old adage
that there is strength in numbers. We also know that the boat moves
better when more people paddle. We’re asking you to get involved
this year by joining, attending monthly program meetings and special
events, inviting others that would be interested, and giving us
your feedback on how to add value for the membership.
For the ultimate career development experience, I highly recommend
volunteering as a board member or supporting volunteer. Working
with the board gives you an opportunity for more in-depth knowledge
of the AMA and your chapter. It also gives you the opportunity to
learn or test new marketing and management skills that you can add
to your resume. I can say from experience that the people you’ll
meet are great!
As
an added bonus we are running two membership contests this year.
• The President’s Membership Initiative Contest for
new and renewing members
And
• Volunteer Rewards Contest.
Top prize winners will receive a gift certificate for “A Day
of Sailing onboard Odyssey in Long Island Sound” for 2 adults.
Please use our website http://www.amafairfieldcounty.org for more
information on these contests, monthly programming, and special
events. Please don’t forget our job board on the site.
We look forward to seeing and working with everyone this year to
provide a great AMA experience in Fairfield County. Please share
your ideas and insights for increasing the chapter’s value
proposition with us. Just click on the contact us button on the
website. We look forward to hearing your ideas, questions and comments.
Sincerely,
Melissa Patterson
